We strongly suggest that you read the descriptions carefully and take into account the age guidelines provided, as well as the show genre and length. The New Victory works with the companies that created the shows to develop age guidelines, while also considering audience feedback during past presentations.
We urge you to refrain from bringing kids younger than the minimum age indicated. For additional information on the age appropriateness of a show, call 646.223.3010.

The New Victory is a small theater with under 500 seats, so there's really not a bad place to sit. Booster seats are available for use in the Orchestra. The Mezzanine and Balcony have a step up between rows (like stadium seating) so that everyone can see more easily.

-
Yes. Due to fire code regulations, everyone attending the performance needs to have a ticket for entry. The house managers have final say on whether or not a child may sit on a patron's lap.
-
-
Wheelchair accessible locations are on hold for all performances. There are also easy transfer seats for patrons who use wheelchairs or walking aids and prefer to sit in a theater seat. Call Ticket Services at 646.223.3010 and ask for accessible seating. Wheelchair seating must be ordered in advance and is subject to availablity.

Contact our partner organization, Hands On, for more information on sign-interpreted performances. They can be reached at 212-740-3087 (voice/relay) or by logging on to HandsOn.org. There is typically one signed performance for each show.

Late seating is at the complete discretion of the Front of House staff. For most performances, latecomers may view the show in progress on a live feed monitor in the lobby, until a late seating cue arrives. Patrons are only admitted into the theater at an appropriate break in the action on stage, as to minimize the disruption to the audience and the performance.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY TICKETS?
Members are invited to exchange tickets, either for a different performance of the same production or for a different show during the season. The first three exchanges are FREE. Click here for the complete Ticket Exchange Policy.
Exchanges must be made at least 48 hours before a performance. You also may donate tickets back to us for a tax deduction.
HOW DO I DONATE MY TICKETS?
If you are unable to use your tickets, just call us at 646-223-3010 at least half an hour prior to your ticketed performance date/time. Then mail the tickets back to the theater, and we will send you a donation receipt for tax purposes, with our thanks!

Use of the lower lobby function room is an exclusive privilege of donors at the Benefactor Level ($5,000 and above) due to the additional staff time, cleanup costs and insurance coverage required. However, we're happy to recommend restaurants in the area that are family friendly and can accommodate groups. Call us for suggestions.

Our Programming Department travels extensively, viewing over 200 productions a year in order to find the ones we ultimately present on our stage each season. They attend national and international festivals, comb arts listings and reviews, and cultivate relationships with artists and agents. They also receive and view hundreds of unsolicited videotapes a year from companies hoping to perform here.
For more information about our submission policy, read our Programming Philosophy.

The New Victory presents works created and cast by outside companies; therefore we do not have opportunities to audition young, aspiring artists.
